Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award

The aim of this Adventurous Journey (AJ) is to provide participants with the opportunity to learn more about the wider environment, as well as to develop their self-confidence, team work and health. Participants are taken out of their comfort zone but kept within a safe and secure setting, achieved through suitable training and supervision.

This April’s AJ we see the participants complete both their Practice and Qualifying journeys in one week.  Using a mixture of walking, kayaking and horse riding.  Students that have never kayaked or ridden a horse will be given full training and horses suited for their skill level.

Payment prior to completing the AJ is required

Cancellations, Itinerary Changes & Refunds

MLC reserves the right to cancel, alter, reschedule or amend any or all programs offered at any time.

If a trip is cancelled by Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures due to safety concerns or National park closure, MLC will refund all payments made by the applicant.

Duke of Edinburgh Registration

All students must be registered for the DofE Award prior to the trip.  DofE Starter packs that contain all the required paperwork can be picked up from the DofE Dropbox in the Studies Office.
