Level 3 and 4 Rhythmic Gymnasts will need to rent an MLC School gymnastics leotard for the competition season.

TERM 4 Swimming

MLC students will have the opportunity to attend swimming training at the MLC Aquatic Centre. This is a Stroke Development and Squad Program and not a learn to swim program; acceptance into the program is based solely on ability and not on age. Please read the following information carefully as it will form the basis for your involvement in swimming at MLC in 2017.

Term 4 Tennis - Development Program

MLC School will again be providing the opportunity for students to be a part of the Tennis Development Program in Term 4, 2017. REGISTRATIONS CLOSE: Thursday 14th September COST: $150.00 per player

Australian Volleyball School Cup (AVSC)- Melbourne Tournament

AVSC stands for "Australian Volleyball Schools’ Cup". This event is the largest school-based sporting event in the Southern Hemisphere, attracting teams from across Australia, plus international teams. The event is the responsibility of Volleyball Australia and is organised by the Australian Volleyball Schools’ Cup Event Commission. This event has seen tremendous growth since its inception and in 2016 saw 500 teams from 133 schools from accross Australia and New Zealand. This unique event has delivered almost all of the national players (beach and indoor) for the last 3 decades and will continue to see the next generation of national, international and potentially Olympic athletes. The AVSC is the marquee junior participation event in the national events portfolio, bringing together hundreds of secondary school teams annually in December, enjoying an introduction to volleyball, camaraderie and enthusiastic competition amongst the nation's school community for the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup.

2018 Term 1 - SOFTBALL - Years 7 – 12

MLC School will again be providing an opportunity for students to participate in SOFTBALL in Term 1, 2018. REGISTRATIONS CLOSE: Monday 6th November Registrations may be reopened only if additional players are required. COST: $165.00 per player

IPSHA Football - Years 4 – 6 Term 1, 2018

MLC School will again be providing an opportunity for students in years 4 - 6 to participate in IPSHA Football in Term 1 2018. REGISTRATIONS CLOSE: Friday 10th November Registrations may be reopened only if additional players are required. COST: $150.00 per player

MLC School will again be providing an opportunity for students in years 7 - 12 to participate in IGSSA Tennis in Term 1, 2018. REGISTRATIONS CLOSE: Friday 27th November Registrations may be reopened only if additional players are required. COST: $165.00 per player

MLC School Glenworth Valley Adventurous Journey

Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award The aim of this Adventurous Journey (AJ) is to provide participants with the opportunity to learn more about the wider environment, as well as to develop their self-confidence, team work and health. Participants are taken out of their comfort zone but kept within a safe and secure setting, achieved through suitable training and supervision.

Rowing - Head of Yarra 2017

The Head of Yarra is one of Australia's premier long distance races, held in the last weekend of November each year. Raced over 8.7km the race starts in the middle of Melbourne and follows the Yarra river all the way to Hawthorne RC, just under the Richmond Bridge.
